1. Will better succeed in a classroom of 10

3. Have
been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD.
• Commonwealth does not enroll students whose learning
problems either result from or have developed into a primary behavior problem that
would impact the learning of other students.

CURRICULUM
• College-prep curriculum taught at grade level with accommodations
and a variety of hands-on, interactive, and experiential opportunities

GRADING/COMMUNICATION
• Bi-weekly reports from each teacher are reviewed
with students and posted to secure student and parent folders on the
website.
• Report cards, including a letter grade and narrative, are mailed
at the end of each quarter.
• New parent conferences are held in November;
the remaining conferences are held in January.
• Semester exams are given
in January and June.
• All faculty are available via email and respond
within 24 hours on school days.
HOURS/LUNCH BREAKS
• Middle School: 7:20 am – 2:50 pm.
• High School: 8:20 am – 3:40
pm.
• Before school supervision begins at 7:00 am for all students.
• Students have a 15-minute
break in the morning in which they can enjoy a snack, and 30 minutes for
lunch. Lunch and snacks can be brought from home and refrigerated
and/or heated in a microwave in our spacious kitchen. Students may alternatively sign
up to purchase lunch (pizza, sandwiches, salads, smoothies) up to 5 days a week.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Middle School
Middle school students may stay after school for a supervised study hall from 3:00 – 3:40 pm and social time from 3:40 pm – 4:00 pm for no additional charge.
Organized after school activities, such as ping-pong, computers and outdoor activities are offered on a fee basis from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.
High School
High school students may enjoy additional supervised social time until 4:00 p.m.
From 4:00 – 5:30 pm, a directed study hall is offered for an additional fee. Teachers are present to provide academic and organizational support on a 1:6 teacher/student ratio.
